Saving Santa!!

I heard the news bulletin on the radio ''Santa stuck in a chimney, Christmas likely to be cancelled''. I was shocked!!

As soon as I heard it I knew i would have to do something and do it fast. I quickly gathered my gear and headed out the door !!!

I ran out to my shed and got a crow bar and some butter then I sped out the door down to the house where Santa was!!!!

When I got there, Santa was truly stuck, just his legs hanging out.

I thought it was funny then I realised that this could sabotage Christmas.

I hopped on the ladder and climbed up. I got some rope from his sleigh and wrapped his legs with the rope.

I pulled the rope as hard as I could but it didn't work.

So I added some butter and my crow bar and got the reindeers to pull the rope for me.

Santa started to slip out, then . . . 'POP!!' Santa slipped out of the chimney.

Just then I realised that I had saved Santa. So I went with Santa to celebrate the rest of the Christmas evening.

We delivered presents all night - we had a laugh! And I had a laugh with the reindeers all night long too.

Saving Santa!!!!

The alert came over the radio Christmas is likely to be canceled.As soon as I heard I knew I would have to do something and do it fast.I quickly gathered my gear and headed out the door.He was stuck in my friend's chimney.I turned his key and went in.

I took 3 pillows out of my bag.I put them all around the fireplace and put one in the fireplace if he falls down.I got the ladder and climb up to the roof. I threw 5 pillows down the chimney and a duvet. I jumped down straight on to the pillow ''bang!!'' Santa hit the ground like a tonne of bricks he said ''go back to bed''.

I fell asleep. My ma woke me up and said ''Santa left you a Yamaha 85, go down and have a look. He left you something else, your racing lichen and alpintstars boots'' and all the gear. I started to race in January and I won all the championships

Saving Santa

As soon as i heard it,I knew i would have to do something and do it fast.I quickly gathered my gear and headed out the door up roads and lane ways until I was stopped dead in my tracks by a sleigh.

Then I heard a loud noise coming from the chimney of an old house and saw a drain pipe at the side of the house and climbed up it.

On the top of the house were big boot prints heading onto the other side of the roof and I nearly slipped but got my grip on a loose slate and climbed up.

I saw Santa's feet dangling so I rushed over to the chimney. I got some wd-40 and rope and tied the rope to his legs.Then I sprayed sprayed the wd-40 around his waist and slipped him out and I fell backwards into the presents on the sleigh. Santa fell first then I bounced of his wibbly wobbly belly and landed on the roof and slid back down the pole and saved Christmas.

Lego Mindstorms! (Part 4)

During this Lego Mindstorms lesson we constructed cranes. The first thing we did was design a crane. We each did a different design but all cranes were built to be stable and solid. The cranes were balanced aswell. After that we had to see how to make the crane move. We used pulleys and string. Some lads used two or three pulleys. some only used one. We attached the pulley to string and put the string along the arm of the crane. We then attached the axle of the pulley to a motor and attached the motor to the RCX box. This gave the crane a source of energy so it could move and operate like a real crane. It was really CLASS!!

Our Graduation

Last Thursday we had our graduation and Bill Cullen was there. We had our graduation in the PWC building with Derek from Localise, Evelyn and all the people from PWC.

Bill Cullen gave $50 to William and Nikita for answering a question. One of the questions was ''what is the name of the ship on the river Liffey''? The answer was the Jeanie Johnson. At the graduation we presented Temple Street Hospital with a check with for 7,800.88 euro and they said they would get a new play room with the money we raised for them. Last time money was raised for Temple Street they got a laptop so children could learn in bed.

It was a really great night, Paul made a great speech and we all got graduation certificates for our good work helping others.

We recently gave our opinions to ''Kidstalk'' on the Montcrieff show on Newstalk 106fm. This six minute interview with Henry McKean ranges from marriage to films to football (no surprise there!!).

We also had a chat about Brian Cowen and our fundraising for Temple Street. In the piece we said we had raised about €6,500 but that was before all the money was counted. We now know it was over €7,700. Click the picture to have a listen.

The Anaconda

It is summer. Dean, Sara, Michal, Breda and Barry are going to the jungle with an old boat. In the jungle there is a special plant called Orhideea. They need that plant for a special cure.
But in that jungle is the biggest anaconda in the world. They have to find the plant so they went deep into the forest. They find a house and the house was haunted.
Sara saw a huge anaconda in the house so they returned to the boat and went to another part of the jungle. Then Sara said ‘’we can’t stay here anymore, we have to go back home because in the jungle is a huge anaconda so if we stay anymore we will die! We haven got water or food so we can’t survive’’.
Dean discovered that Michel doesn’t want to leave the jungle so he went at him to tell they can’t stay in jungle. Michel was furious so he caught a tarantula (spider) and threw it at Dean. The spider bit Dean! In a minute Dean fell and he was nearly dead.
Sara knew that something was wrong so she went to find Dean. When she found Dean she found the anaconda aswell! Disaster! She ran to tell to the group. They got the boat and went to the other side of the jungle. They ran to the bank of the river - they were out, but the anaconda was still chasing them. Barry gets the knife and cuts anaconda’s head.
After a couple of weeks they were home but had left Michael in the jungle.

Scream Of The Beast

It was a sunny day, the day when we went back to school! It was a new class and new friends...I was searching for my new class when I saw a beautiful girl on the floor. Her knee was bleeding, I ran to help her. Then I put her in my arms and brought her to the school hospital. My name is Lass and her name is Amy , now we are BEST Friends. My brother Ryan is in my class , he is such a joker. Amy's sister is in school too, she's in the same class as me, Amy and Ryan . And now we all are best FRIENDS.
In the fourth month of school the teacher decided to go on a trip to the forest. When we were in the forest I saw a man with black clothes and white skin...I tried to tell Amy but she didn't listen to me.
Later in the week we were returning to school but in the middle of the night the bus crashed and we fell into the water. We survived but we lost many of the others...I was the oldest in my group. So I said: EVERYBODY STAY WITH ME OR DONT GET LOST! STAY TOGETHER!!. We all searched for a abandon house. The we found one in which to stay but when went in a voice said : GET OUT OF MY HOUSE NOWWWWWWWW! we ran back to the forest.
Then we stayed with the girls, with some of their food. ''Yeech'' I said. The girls food is horrible! The next morning we were trying to go back to our houses. But we didn't have a bus or a plane...then we decided to construct one with the natural things in the forest.
A man with black and white skin try to kill us it was the same man who I saw last week. We ran away. Now we discovered who was the voice of the abandon house, it was him! Then I said ''Lets Try to ESCAPE from that man and go back to our houses''.
Then I screamed ''CAMMON , CAMMON ARE YOU AFRAID OF ME??'' Next thing I felt a ball of fire stream through my hands. Amy stayed invisible, Ryan changed his body to a wolf man and Amy got a sword! We became the beasts of the forest!! We destroyed the man and his old haunted house and returned to the city. Now we are the heroes of the city.

Temple St. Hospital School

Last Wednesday/Thursday our school raised over 7,000 euro for Temple St. Hospital school. Today we are going up to temple St to give the money to the sick kids. we raised the money by making Christmas cards and carol singing around in the IFSC, PWC building To night we have our graduation. Bill Cullen from Apprentice' will be there. We feel very exited!!!

The day had now come when Jimmy Schwarz and friends Barry Trotter, Paddy Irishman and Lily Loco were going to South Africa or were they??
They were about to board the plane but little do they know they were going to end up in Bethleham. They arrived in Bethleham thinking they are in South Africa!
They all got off the plane really excited until they saw a load of Jewish people standing in the airport. They did not have a clue were they were!
The people who our heroes met in a tiny little airport in Bethleham were all scared for their lives. Why? Well, apprently, the gansgter Cappucino was in town!!
What would they do? Then Barry Trotter says 'I'm getting out of here' but Jimmy Schwarz just says he is starving - it was just a crisis! But Lily Loco wasn't upset. She knew she had the power to deal with Cappacino! After all Lily Loco was Cappucino' mom!
Then Cappuccino arrived in the airport. He pulled out two power blasting squirter gunsit was so funny. But Lily Loco caught him by the ear and dragged him home!!
Then they all got to their feet and returned to their plane and eventually went to South Africa which was the plan in the first place!!

Old Man Marly's House and the Chopper!

It was a cold and dark night.Leon, Jay, Dana and Git were in the park on the swings. Jay said 'On Friday we all stay in 'Old man Marly's mansion'. 'He's dead a couple of years' said Dana. 'My mum wont let me' said Git. ' OK!ok if your to chicken don't' said Jay. 'Alright' everyone agreed. 'We'll need sleeping bags' shouted Jay 'We'll need sleeping bags' shouted Jay as he left, 'but don't worry I'll get them'.
It was Friday. Jay woke everyone up. 'It's Friday! come on get our stuff ready' shouted Jay. They all got up in fear. But no one could say I'm not going because they would be called chickens. They all sat in the park 'till 10:00 o'clock. Git said he was going to the shop but he never came back.
'Lets go in now, come on' said Jay. So they walked to the door. Leon opened the door. 'It's alright' 'We all stay together' said Dana. We all went up to room one. But there was a surprise waiting for Leon, Jay, and Dana. There was a television. Leon, Jay, Dana plugged it in and knocked on the news. They saw the 'Chopper', a man who chops you up and eats you. The last place he was seen was 44th street where Jay, Dana and Leon were!!
AAGGHH!! 'Aww' said Jay and he was the person who was suppose to be not scared!!. Leon went to the toilet. When he came back Jay and Dana were gone. Leon picked up a pole and checked in all the rooms. They were in room 12. Leon crept in. The Chopper was not there but Dana and Jay were tied to a chair. Leon got them out of there nand they ran out the door.
They ran home to their parents and told them everything. They called the police. The police went to the house but he was not there. We got in a lot of trouble BUT WHO KNOWS IF THE CHOPPER WAS REALLY THERE???!!

The night had started with Chris Brick, Cappuccino and Ice square .They headed off for a meall in McDonalds because it was the New Year, and the boys loved junk food! It was 1984 and Ice Square said to Chris Brick ‘’your phone is ringing’’.

Brothers!

It was the year 1986. The 3 brothers met in Tony Montana's restaurant.
Tony had a flashback. He remembered when he saw his little brothers. They were called Angel and Lee. He heard Lee calling Angel. Later he found his two brothers and it was on this night that they met in the restaurant.

Later that evening they went for a train to go to Toni's house but on the way the cops chased Lee. He got caught. They took him down to the station. The two brothers got a taxi down
to the police department. Lee got locked up for 15 months the police at the station said . The two brothers could not believe it! But later that night the brothers got a phone call. The police thought Lee was someone else. It was a case of mistaken identity. Tony and Angel collected Lee. The three brothers were together again.

The Dark Destroyer!

In 1990 there was a boxer called the Dark Destroyer and he wanted to fight all over the world. He was boxing for 4 years and 3 days nonstop every week. He was seen boxing in the national stadium and his name was put forward for the Ireland team.
They came down the club and called his name aside and told him to meet in the stadium to train to go to Mexico. It was a four week trail. They would tell him at the end of the session that's at the end of the month. As the four weeks flew by, they called five names out and he was one of them. With four more. They told him he would be going on the 12th of October to Mexico. It was the 10th of October.
Two days to go. The time passed and soon it was the 12th of October. So it was time. On his way to the airport a picture came to his head with him and a belt around his waist with 'World Champion' written on it.
He got to the airport and an announcement came over the sound system ' The flight for Mexico is boarding in fifteen minutes'. He went through the hand luggage.
So he boarded the plane and he flew out at 10.30 and over their four hour flight enjoyed a movie. He arrived at 3.30 in the morning . He was in the hotel for 4.30. It was a four weeks from his fight with 6 or 7 warm up fights. He won all of them. It was the day of his fight. He was fighting in turn. At seven o' clock his name was called out to make his way to the ring please. He was the first to enter. The bell went bang and the Dark Destroyer hit him a haymaker to the jaw! His jaw smashed and the bell went!! The ref had to stop the fight. "The blue corner wins". He WON the heavy weight belt!!

Christmas Carol Performance!

Today, Wednesday the 3rd of December, we are going to be carol singing in the IFSC with the girls' school for our fundraising for the school in Temple Street Hospital. We sing lots of songs like 'Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer', 'Jingle Bells', 'Let it Snow' ,'Rocking Around the Christmas Tree' , 'Mary had a Baby' and 'When Children Ruled the World'.We are very good at singing. Lots of people give us lots of great reports after we sing at mass.That's why we are always getting called for when there are special occasions in the church.The people who organised this was Localise and PWC with us boys at St Laurence 'O Tooles C.B.S and and girls at St. Laurence O' Toole's G.N.S . We hope to make over €2,000!!

In this lesson we designed bridges! The bridge had to be at least 12cm in span and support a weight. The bridge that supported the most weight would win a prize!
We soon learned that a bridge needs support or else it will collapse in the middle. Here we are constructing a bridge like the East Link Bridge, with a pillar in the middle for support! We won!! We are legendary engineers and architects!

Each card has been professionally printed by PWC and Localise. Working together, we are donating every cent to the classroom in Temple Street Hospital. We have really enjoyed working in our PWC and Localise groups and our 'Caring in the Community' project!
